Hi, I’m planning on getting a tattoo that’s part color and part black. I’ve heard that although they feel the same when getting the tattoo, the color part burns and is more painful afterwards than the black tattoo. Is this true?

How much does a black tattoo fade after its healed? Is it a significant amount of fading or is it very small?

The tattoo will spell in script the name “maier” and will be in black (no color).
The inside of the letters won’t be filled in with black, but slightly shaded in.
It will be about three inches in width and will span from his armpit to his hip.
Also, we’re looking for a good tattoo parlor in houston, so any reccommendations on where to start would be helpful. Thanks!
